The Rock Arena was created in 2019 to share our love of rock and metal. We realised that other websites only focused on famous rock bands and I wanted to create a site that focused on exposing amazing rock bands from classic rock to Heavy metal and everything in between.

We are based in South Africa, and have a strong passion for local SA rock and will always promote local bands and artists, however being an online media site, we will be bring news, featured bands and articles from around the world.

Our aim is to create a site where all rock fans can get together to get their fix of news and explore new artists and bands. Our success is totally dependent on 1 person - YOU... without you visiting the Arena or liking & sharing our social media posts there would be no reason to continue. The more interaction and support we receive from you the more we will be able to grow the Arena. #RaiseYourHorns

We don't believe in flooding our site with google ads, external ads etc. these negatively affect a readers experience. So instead instead we have created a PATREON page, so that readers can contribute to the growth of the Arena if they want to.
