NEWS: AC/DC are back with a Thunderous new album

AC/DC are back with their 17th studio album and, Power Up, after more than 4 decades of monstrous guitar riffs and insane vocals, everyone thought that AC/DC are finally calling it quits after facing deaths, Deafness and house arrest, but the have proved everyone wrong and released a brand new album an they show no sign of stopping. This album is a punch to the gut with AC/DC exploding back with their 80's sound and the first single released, Shot In The Dark, is a reminiscence of a classic AC/DC song.

After Brian left midway through the ‘Rock Or Bust’ world tour in 2016 because of hearing difficulty and Phil Rudd who was placed under house arrest in 2015 for threatening to kill someone, Cliff Williams also decided to retire citing that he believed AC/DC had changed with the death of Malcolm Young being the final nail in the coffin. Any other band would have folded but not AC/DC, stories were starting to circulate that they band has been seen hanging out together at a practice space in Toronto, and the flames were lit when someone ran into Brian at an airport and he said, ‘I'm sick of hiding it, we’re working on new shit.’

Stevie Young has stepped in to fill the enormous shoes of Malcolm Young on rhythm guitar and from the opening track you still feel Malcolm's presence in the songs, Angus blasts through his signature guitar solos as if he has something to prove and thanks to some special hearing aids, Brian Johnson's voice sounds as powerful as ever.

There are no real surprises with the 'Power Up', with the songs becoming classics in their own right and like with all previous AC/DC albums if you are looking for some no shit, balls to the wall rock music, this album needs to be added to your collection.

'Power Up' Launches 13/11/2020 across all music platforms
