NEWS: The Most Anticipated Metal Tour of All Time Might Happen In 2022

Rumour's have started circulating, that possibly one of the biggest metal tours of all time is slated for 2022, headlined by British heavy metal gods IRON MAIDEN and JUDAS PRIEST, although nothing has been confirmed by either bands PR company, managers or the band themselves. The word is that the tour will be a U.S. arena tour, which would be the only logical choice to host 2 of metal's biggest performances.

Judas Priest vocalist, Rob Halford said he wanted his band to tour with Iron Maiden. Originally, Halford wanted to create a tour of the U.K's big four, similar to the 2010 and 2011 shows featuring Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax.

“I’d always dreamed of Black Sabbath and Motorhead and Priest and Maiden as ‘The Big 4’ doing something in the U.K. Sadly, two-fourths of that has gone, but the music lives forever. That’s the main thing.”

The last time these 2 heavy weights tour together was back in 1982, Maiden had release the "Number of the Beast" Album and Priest the "Screaming for Vengeance" album.

2018 saw Priest release their 18th album "Firepower" – the highest-charting LP of their career. Meanwhile Maiden have not released a new album since 2015's "Book of Souls" which saw the band take on a grueling world tour to promote the album.

Even though there is no concrete confirmation that this tour is going to take place it has given the metal world something to hop for. We for one believe this tour and many like it is exactly what is needed once some form of normality returns to the world.
