NEWS: Ex-Guns n Roses drummer sets a new Autobiography date



Matt Sorum, Former Guns N' Roses and Velvet Revolver drummer has announced a new release date autobiography, "Double Talkin' Jive" The book that was written by Sorum along with Leif Eriksson and Martin Svensson was originally scheduled for release on April 7th, but has since been pushed back doe to Covid-19 delays.


The book will now be published on September 7th and also features a foreword written by none other that ZZ Top legend Billy Gibbons. The book will take readers behind the scenes and reveal the real life of a rock n roll superstar from living the high life to the darkest and lowest days. Matt describes his childhood obsession with Beatles drummer, Ringo Starr to a dramatic shoot-out and smuggling large amounts of cocaine.


Matt ended up in Hollywood, where he started off his rise to fame as the drummer for The Cult, and about a year later was invited to join Guns N' Roses, with whom he'd end up recording two of rock's most iconic albums: "Use Your Illusion I" and "Use Your Illusion II".


Matt opens up in his tell all, revealing unheard stories from his time playing arena's around the world to his drug and alcohol addiction, and the explosive relationship with Guns n Roses band members including Slash and Axl Rose. The book covers the span of Matts career from his beginnings with The Cult, through to Guns N' Roses, Velvet Revolver, Motorhead, the Hollywood Vampires and Kings Of Chaos, with guest appearances by Gene Simmons (KISS), Steven Tyler (Aerosmith), Alice Cooper and Billy Idol.
