LOCAL NEWS: SA Rock icons Springbok Nude Girls sign to Mongrel records
Mongrel Records have announce the signing of The Springbok Nude Girls to their label. Mongrel Records label manager Warren Gibson said, “It’s an absolute honor to welcome South African rock royalty to the Mongrel roster.”
The Springbok Nude girls are one of South Africa's leading rock bands, from performing their first show in a small Stellenbosch bar in 1994 to opening for U2 on their '360° world tour' they have proven that they are a force to be reckoned with in the world of rock music and can easily perform with the biggest names in rock on an international stage.
They have become a platinum-selling, award-winning band putting out albums that are the soundtrack to South African music lovers lives, they have also headlined every major South African music festival and performed at some of the biggest international festivals in internationally.
The band are currently working on a new highly anticipated, album set to be released within the next few months, a welcomed response following on their 2020 killer single 'Rolling Thunder'
,Arno Carstens, vocalist for the band, also commented on the signing saying, “It’s with great relief and joy to be inducted into the safe and efficient arms of Mongrel Records. With everything going on it feels right to be part of a bigger group of likeminded people who have also got the common love of music and entertainment.
